FOTA to discuss new qualifying format


This should shake up Quali if it gets adopted and I like the idea of a point for pole as this makes it worth going for it every time. Might throw up suprises though if slowest eliminated each lap, there will be no slacking off from the drivers so may be good to watch.

New safety car rules for 2009


The current controversial safety car rules will be scrapped following next month's final race of the 2008 season.

It has been agreed to minimally revert to the old system, whereby the pitlane will stay open for refuelling even immediately after the deployment of the safety car.
