Mediterranean GP?
« on: August 28, 2014, 01:00:42 PM »
On the fence on this one.  Track layout looks a bit strange with the first series of turns looking like a slalom course for skiing.  Fairly long tunnel by the look of it as well.

Greece doesn't have the cash for it, and I'm sure considering Germany put up most of the bailout, they might prefer another GP end up in Germany, not Greece.

On the other hand, it's Europe, and as long as it isn't another European circuit that is sacrificed (better ditch Russia, or Bahrain), then I'd be ok with it (helps that there are 3 direct flights from Zurich to Athens every day  ;) )

The thing that I'm sceptical about here is the financial backing.  I just cannot see a project of this sort obtaining the necessary funding to happen in any Mediterranean European country in the near future.
