F1 insider claims Force india in serious financial trouble

Supplier non payment causing new car delays at team.

According to F1-insider.com it's the unpaid bills not design or build problems that's holding FIF1 back from first Jerez test.
The article by Ralf Bach is from his German web blog site, I'm sure any wrong wording or grammar is down to the google translate.  ;)

The future of Force India is far from certain: That came out in the context of a meeting of the Formula 1 strategy group in London on Tuesday. The team of Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez is reportedly facing financial collapse. Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone has already been informed of a current insolvency.

Force India therefore omitted for information from F1-insider.com on the first tests that take place from Sunday to Wednesday next week in Jerez. Reason: The new car is not done, because important supplier parts have not been provided due to payment problems.

The team from the Indian billionaire Vijay Mallya plans now to the second test two weeks later in Barcelona. In the team are still other horror scenarios painted. If no money flowed in the next four weeks, even the opening two races in Australia and Malaysia would be endangered, they say. The team is for sale. Team owner Vijay Mallya, who can leave his native India only on bail at the moment – a measure of the Indian authorities resulted in the collapse of Mallya Kingfisher Airlines – is ready for selling. There is already an interested party: Renault.

The French motor manufacturer wants to cut the umbilical cord to Red Bull and apparently wants to be even more present again in Formula 1. That is why even the purchase of a team for debate. One option is Force India.

Renault buying FIF1?

Hasn't Enstone had the 'for sale' sign up for years?  I suppose FIF1 might come at a lower price, but surely Enstone's history of success (as Renault, no less!) is worth the investment?

Perhaps Renault is going to just buy up a bunch of teams just to stick it to Red Bull for going to Mercedes?

Sure you don't mean they want to stick it to their old team aka Lotus, Jeri?

I'm hinting that Renault might buy BOTH Enstone and FIF1, as a way to stick it to RBR/STR.

Could run one team as Renault, the other as Infiniti

Did Mr Sirotkin not learn from last time? No sterling, no Stirling Moss!

Don't forget that Renault-Nissan are rolling out their Nissan LMP1 program this year. I doubt that they'll want to fund two F1 teams on top of that.

One day we may have a 4 team series...should make a podium
finish a heck of a lot easier.

Provided you're in the right team (they'd have to be 4-car teams to meet contract requirements)...

Force India may be in more trouble than we may have thought. It is on the verge of missing the season opener in Australia.

It seems strange that a rumour would be justified by its refutation. Pretty sure that's not how gathering evidence works, Planet-F1...

Given that they have at least appeared for some of the tests, I think that they'll be in Melbourne, but there is no doubt that they have serious financial problems.  When you have the team that finished sixth in the constructors' championship struggling to continue, it should send a serious wake-up call to the powers that be.  As usual, they don't care though.
