Holiday
« on: November 26, 2015, 07:56:20 PM »
I would like to take a moment and wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving.

I know that many of you are from outside the US and consequently do not celebrate this Holiday with us so for you all, simply have a fantastic day.

Life is short - live each day to the fullest.

Happy Thanksgiving, one and all!

Sidenote: While most British people do not celebrate Thanksgiving, my colleagues and I do... ...because it means a lot of our customers are on holiday, therefore not needing their work computers fixing, therefore not calling us. This enables lots of us to have a 4/5-day weekend coinciding with the last F1 race of the season and the last quiet few days in the shops before the Christmas rush starts. Most celebrators are celebrating things that happened about 400 years ago, but my colleagues and I are celebrating nice Americans of today :)

Dare's right about the 4th of July. Every holiday should feature explosives fireworks.  :yahoo:

Hard to celebrate being chased out of our own wealth producing colonies.  :P  :D
We've never had the money since to pay for a decent party, anyways.  :tease:

The UK might not celebrate Thanksgiving (mostly), but it certainly seemed to be celebrating Black Friday - as an excuse to spend all day shopping in pyjamas, by the look of it.
