Outstanding race strategy! He ran out of fuel 1/2 lap after the checkers.

I wonder if he'll have Kyvat's seat at STR by Montreal?

That would be too, too funny.
He did show well in the Manor though, and this win of what may arguably the most prestigious race of all will certainly be a nice feather in his cap.

As Rossi himself said, a lot of credit to Bryan Herta. Herta made the decision right after the last pit stop to ease up and save fuel. He then talked Rossi through the stint, updating him on speed, track position and fuel savings. Really a team effort. Congrats also to Andretti Autosport for coming to Indy with a top notch package and finishing 1-2.

Max Chilton made more in one day at Indy than he did in an entire year of F1. His 2014 F1 salary was $291,047. He made $346,743 for this year's Indy.
