Indianapolis 500 - 100th running
« on: May 29, 2016, 09:50:35 PM »
It was quite a race today.
I may have to start watching Indy Cars again.
Several cautions, cars running three abreast in the turns, a lot of passing.  I didn't see it all, but in bits and pieces, it looked quite interesting, even though it was on an oval.

Congrats most definitely due to Alexander Rossi for the unlikely win.  Formula 1 may get him in a year or two.

Life is short - live each day to the fullest.

I didn't get to watch all of it, but it's been a good race the last few years.

ABC's coverage is excellent, and it's an event unlike anything else.

There are no fluke wins in the 500, so full congratulations to Rossi!

The ABC people tried to give you a feel for the size of Indy, but they can't give you the feeling you get when you're there. I've only visited, not actually seen the race live, but it's still an experience.

Here's a little idea how big The Speedway really is:

“You can search the world over for the finer things, but you won't find a match for the American road and the creatures that live on it.”

Pretty freaky that Vatican City doesn't even cover half the infield.  On my bucket list (Indy - already done the Vatican).
The Honey Badger doesn't give a...
