RBR & STR Sign With Renault

Gee, I thought you all didn't like each other.

Red Bull Racing and Toro Rosso have signed a two year contract for Renault engines. They will be the same spec as the factory team and may carry any badging. The RBR units are currently badged TAG Heuer.

Funny how things have ironed out...maybe once Horner gets finished with his apologies for blowing Ricciardo's races, he'll have something nice to say about Renault.   :DntKnw:

I have to say, I like that it looks like there is engine parity, so that car design is the difference maker.

I miss the days of unlimited engine development, but at least it looks like being stuck with the wrong power unit isn't a death sentence.

I think Merc still has an edge, Ferrari and Renault are close and Honda still a tick behind. Toro Rosso's success with last year's Ferrari suggests that Ferrari has not improved as much as they claim. Canada will be very interesting.

Last year driving a Mercedes was a clear advantage, but it's not going well for Williams, Force India (well done at Monaco though!) or Manor at all.  I'll agree the Mercedes is the best, but it's not enough to win on its own.
