Someone is going to get hurt and then they will bring it back.

In one sense I would like to see the drivers race with whatever they have in their pocket, but there needs to be a line drawn for dangerous driving (although some would argue F1 IS by definition dangerous driving).

Totally agree - I want to see racing but not stupidity

Don't forget to increase the numbers of DNF for Grid Game!

What annoys me the most is the disregard of the moving under braking in the one defensive move per lap. Come on Charlie tighten that up and the rest will surely take care of itself.

Fortunately, modern F1 cars are quite safe.  It's always possible for someone to get hurt, but we've seen drivers walk away from very serious crashes.

The problem I foresee is the difficulty in passing.  If a driver has to worry that once they're committed to a racing line to pass, they could still find themselves legally bumped off track.  If every pass has to be double guessed, we're going to see a lot of passing opportunities not attempted.

This season will provide the shortest braking zones in F1 history, making them wider won't help the spectacle, unless we think fans like seeing passes thwarted.

I think the rule about allowing a car width still stands, though they don't seem to enforce it much. Charlie did say dangerous driving would still come under review, but moving in the braking zone is no longer an automatic review.
