An agreement has been made "in principle" for the Turkish Grand Prix to return to the calendar. Istanbul Park last hosted a grand prix in 2011.

Well that's good news as far as I'm concerned, :yahoo: I had been trying to arrange a trip to that GP for a couple of years, had just got it sorted with a mate to go in 2012 - then they took it away.  :(

I'll have to start saving my pennies again.  ;)

If I recall attendance there was pretty poor I wonder how they think they have changed that?

It's very curious timing, in view of the political situation in Turkey.  The track did have some impressive corners, but attendance was always very poor, and it lacked atmosphere.  I'm not convinced it's a good idea to go back there.
