  And really...we are talking about one point.  Nobody is suggesting making it retroactive, so really a simple fix.


Actually it's two points Scott, but whose counting.  ;) :tease:

By the by, no one actually picked the real pole sitter in the race last Sunday - who also happened to be the fastest in Q3 as well as the driver starting on pole - so isn't all this rule re-writing a tad premature?   :confused:

Pole points should be awarded for whoever starts on pole not who is fastest ion Q3.  The grid game rules make sense because consider what happens if the fastest driver in Q3 is disqualified for some reason, such as the Michael Schumacher parking stunt at Monaco in 2006.  Such a breach of the rules should result in that prediction not being valid for pole.  It's the same for all these gearbox and engine penalties.  The penalties are the problem, not the grid game rules.

I suppose I thought our game could adapt quite a bit quicker than the FIA, and add a dose of common sense for other if's, and's or but's.
