  • Calman: Mr Happy over here Wizzo, so it's all good,  Cheers!

  • Wizzo: Its not a problem Cal, its better than waiting for your pictures to be approved.

  • Calman: Hi Wizzo ... I am trying to understand the system, not change it, so appologise if my attempts to add to the gallery are causing any unessesary stress!
    April 09, 2018, 05:56:12 AM
  • Wizzo: To be honest its a very long time since we had any issues with members photos. I have changed the permissions so that images no longer need admin approval
    April 08, 2018, 03:14:05 PM
  • Calman: Thanks for the info and approval on my 1st photo Wizzo, really appreciate it.  So, who is the best member to contact for photo approval (as I am aware that you mostly appear online over the weekend).

  • Scott: When I do my GG picks, I get a warning that the website is not secure up on the browser address...using Safari.  Anyone else get anything like that?
    April 07, 2018, 09:34:27 PM
  • Wizzo: Yes the gallery does not inform the admin when a new picture is posted so we either have to check everyday or its just easier when you post a picture to let one of us know. Yours has been approved.
    April 07, 2018, 06:56:03 PM
  • Calman: Can anyone shed light on why an image I uploaded to the gallery 24+ hours ago is still pending approval? ... thank you.

  • Wizzo: Hi Greg, you're better off telling us about your concept in a written post on the forum for all to see. I'm sure you'll get a few opinions.

  • Greg_82: Hello, anyone online to discuss?
    November 06, 2017, 05:51:35 PM
  • Greg_82: the best would be to go on skype to discuss the concept, would that be possible with some of you guys?
    November 06, 2017, 12:31:49 PM
  • Greg_82: I'm new and I would like to know if some of you would have some time to spend with me because I'm launching a new concept about F1 and I would like to have your idea

  • Bottas still on top.  Kimi ahead of Vettel and MV ahead of Daniel.

  • I think someone from Britain should do a proper preview for this race.  Shake a leg guys!  Tell us some history or interesting bits about the track, Silverstone, or why you still have a Queen.

  • Bottas get 5 grid spot penalty for gearbox change.

Precisely what I'm talking about on the GG post...it would have been a shame to miss this and lose a point because of a gearbox.  I had Bottas for pole.

So what happens now? Does Bottas  loose pole due to changing his set up slightly to suit the race rather than qualifying? It wouldn't surprise if that was what LH did hence just a third before the 8th spot on the grid.

  • It says something about the state of F1 that many of us believe that it will be very hard if not impossible for the best car in the field with one of the best drivers and on one of the best tracks to fight back from a 5 place grid penalty.

  • By the rules now whoever starts the race on pole
    is the GG pole winner.

The turbulence from the back of the cars is huge and unless they address that the racing will not be that close.

I was not referring to the GG Dare but how Mercedes would approach qualifying and the race but it seems Silverstone is a circuit that set up changes would make much difference.

  • Interestingly Liberty seemed to be very keen to continue at Silverstone and said they plan to have discussions at the end of the season so all is not lost and as the drivers seem to revel in the high speed turns.

  • Silverstone is one of the historic tracks that should
never be lost. But my favorite remains Monza...might
have something to do with the Italian milkman we had
when I was a little kid.

Ha ha that made me laugh!
I quite agree there are tracks that should not be lost maybe we should start a list but you cannot add to the list with a reason!

    • Silverstone - The first ever race held at the circuit was 2nd October 1948 (RAC International Grand Prix) and then the modern era from 1952 its fast sweeping bends challenge the driver, chassis and engine to the full this years pole was an average of 152 mph/245 kph.

  • 2 Monaco  a boring  race everybody loves. Graham Hill won it
5 times. Fasy lap set this year by Kimi with a 1m 12.178. One
of the three crown jewels of racing, theo others being LeMans and Indy.

  • 3. Spa - It's been around since the beginning and still provides great racing. It's not the 14 km monster that it once was. Eau Rouge has gone from one of the fiercest to a flat out kink. Still, the circuit and the famous (or infamous) weather usually lead to excitement.
