Don't think I've ever heard it mentioned on here Mollie.

Not me Mollie....I always recall a definition of golf being "A long walk.......spoiled"

Not unless it involves hitting through a little windmill.   ;)

I played golf once when I was 9.  That was more than enough for a lifetime.

Oh, I also played Lee Trevino Golf on Nintendo

Hi Mollie,

I tried it for a while, I even had lessons. One day I was great at it, the next day I was  rubbish. I found it the most infuriating game I have ever played. My brain could not except that practising more did not guarantee a better game.

I gave up after several (agonising) months.

I played in my 20's and 30's, but not since moving to Europe.  Other things to do I guess...

I've played a few rounds as an invited guest to make up the number when asked, however as I have no skill and get no thrill they've stopped asking - which suits me.  :D

Gave it up for bowling which I find frustrating
enough. I do like to watch the Majors on Sat
and Sunday

I feel like the most common misconception which a lot of people have about golf is that it's a game for the rich. This isn't necessarily true. I am at beginner's level, however, i really do enjoy playing golf because you referee yourself. Plus, Golf gives you good attributes like being truthful because you are required to be honest with yourself to accurately note your score. I would say if you can plan a budget. Golf is worth trying out.

I'd need a golf buggy Mollie, my legs wouldn't get me to the 1st hole, either that or I'd have to play the 19th hole.  :DD

Rather bike.  Compete with myself and see the sights.  I'll golf when I can't bike anymore.  ;) ;)
