ESPN to cover F1 in USA
« on: October 04, 2017, 06:28:18 PM »
http://www.gpupdate.net/en/f1-news/359259/espn-takes-over-f1-rights-in-us-from-2018/

ESPN will be covering F1 starting in 2018.  NBC felt that paying money to Liberty, a competing media organization, was bad business.

ESPN is co-owner of TSN, which shows F1 in Canada, so I assume we will be getting the ESPN coverage in place of the Sky coverage we currently get.

I think ESPN owning F1 is a good thing, because, like pretty much everything else you watch ESPN is owned by Disney.  Very rarely does Disney purchase something and then let it sit idly by.  They will put resources into building the brand.

Who doesn't want to see Iron Man or Darth Vader do a grid walk?   :good:

What do you pay for Sling and how many/what channels do you get, if you don't mind?

$20 a month and the maim channels I get are ESPN 1,2,and3,TNT,TBS,AMT,
Travel,Food Channel.And for $5 more you get 4 channels of EPIX,TCM,Sundance,IFC,and
a few others channels. Cancel anytime...You can also get HBO,Showtime,Cinemax, and
Starz. Well worth it to me just to get away from the local cable companies

You can look at the different info here  https://www.sling.com/

Oh what a shame the cloud system will not respond to request from my country so I guess I'll never see the joy of sling tv.  ::)

Gee who needs friends anyways, is it because I'm running you close in GG? It's psychological warfare like in real F1. .....I'm flattered.  :DD
