Secrets of a 2-Second F1 Pit Stop: An In-Depth Analysis
« on: January 09, 2018, 04:58:23 PM »
Formula One pit crews are now completing pit stops in just over 2-seconds with the record being 2.02 seconds in 2017, a little slower than the 2016 record of 1.92 seconds thanks to the larger tyres.

In this video, Scott Mansell takes an in-depth look at how 23 people come together in perfect harmony to complete the perfect F1 pit stop.

Outstanding video, Wizzo! Thanks.  :good:

The 2 second pit stops happen in the blink of an eye. It's amazing what a complicated, precise ballet it really is. For example, I didn't know that each of the two jack men have a backup right behind them in case a jack fails.
