There has been gossip I've seen that Norris could end up at Toro Rosso if McLaren don't give him a race seat.  McLaren have found themselves in this situation a lot recently, too many drivers for too few seats.

I can't see it myself to be honest.  However, I think Vandoorne's drive may come under pressure soon, as he doesn't seem to deliver as consistently as Alonso.  Let's face it, Bottas, Verstappen and Vandoorne (to some degree) were all hyped as the "next big thing" ... and none of them have truly delivered.

I would love to see Gasly or Ocon in a McLaren in 2019 (should their development of the car steadily improve).

All the best,
Cal :)

Sadly I can't see either Gasly or Ocon in a McLaren any time soon due to their ties with other 'families' in F1.  If Gasly goes anywhere it will be a move to Red Bull and Ocon will only end up at Mercedes in my opinion, unless Renault are finally able to get him!

Not sure why but the name Lando Norris sounds more like a character out of "Last Of The Summer Wine"!

Norris is a famous name in hockey.  The award for best defenceman is called the Norris Trophy, and the Atlantic Division used to be called the Norris Division.  (It was determined that having Detroit and Toronto in the 'Norris' division was confusing to Americans, so it was renamed the Atlantic division.  Much clearer)

I thought they were going to bring in Chuck Norris.

James E Norris (Sr.) was a Canadian businessman who owned the Detroit Red Wings, Chicago Black Hawks and New York Rangers in the 1950s.  For those of you keeping score, the NHL had 6 teams at this time (the 'Original Six:  also Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins), and Mr Norris owned three of them.  During the time he owned all three teams, the Chicago and New York teams would send their best players to Detroit, which was a powerful team, winning several championships, while Chicago and New York would finish in last/second last consistently.

Sounds like the kind of guy that would have fit right in with Bernie's vision of F1.

(Just to clarify, the NHL 'Atlantic' division has famous beachfront cities:
  • Toronto
  • Detroit
  • Montreal
  • Ottawa
  • Buffalo
  • Tampa Bay (On the Gulph of Mexico... almost the Atlantic
  • Carolina (based in Raleigh North Carolina... about 150 miles inland)
  • Miami (which is actually on the Atlantic Ocean!)
)

I thought they were going to bring in Chuck Norris.

When racing an F1 car, Chuck Norris doesn't stop for tires...
... tires stop for Chuck Norris.

Chuck Norris's pole time is impossible to measure, as timing mechanisms are limited to the speed of light.

When Chuck Norris joins F1, he will win all past, present and future WDC, in addition to the interplanatary and intergalactic championships of the future.

When Max Verstappen tries to pass Chuck Norris, he will be stopped with a roundhouse kick to the head.

He's not all that great. All those years that he was Walker, Texas Ranger, he never noticed that his sidekick Jimmy Trivette was part of the gang that pulled that Christmas raid on Nakatomi Plaza.
