  • Calman: Hi Wizzo ... I am trying to understand the system, not change it, so appologise if my attempts to add to the gallery are causing any unessesary stress!

  • Wizzo: To be honest its a very long time since we had any issues with members photos. I have changed the permissions so that images no longer need admin approval

  • Calman: Thanks for the info and approval on my 1st photo Wizzo, really appreciate it.  So, who is the best member to contact for photo approval (as I am aware that you mostly appear online over the weekend).

  • Scott: When I do my GG picks, I get a warning that the website is not secure up on the browser address...using Safari.  Anyone else get anything like that?
    April 07, 2018, 09:34:27 PM
  • Wizzo: Yes the gallery does not inform the admin when a new picture is posted so we either have to check everyday or its just easier when you post a picture to let one of us know. Yours has been approved.

  • Calman: Can anyone shed light on why an image I uploaded to the gallery 24+ hours ago is still pending approval? ... thank you.

The Halo Did Its Job

  • It looks like the halo made its first save in the F2 race last weekend. After a shunt, Tadasuke Makino's halo had tire marks across it. So did the engine cover behind the cockpit.

I don't think any of us care for its looks, but it looks like it works.

  • To be honest the look of it now completely has become 'normal' to me so I am not fussed anymore.  A bit like any other part they add, it just blends in over time.  Good to see it worked though in those circumstances, looks like Makino was saved from danger.

  • I'm still waiting to see the crash itself - I can't tell from what I've seen so far if the car would have hit the driver without the Halo, and therefore how Halo changed the accident (it must have changed it some, but it's not clear in what way).

  • Here's a little better view. It's at the 1:45 mark in the video. Fukuzumi's rear tires slide up the car & right over the cockpit.

  • Well... ...that was a strange accident. But helping out in strange accidents is what the Halo was designed to do.

I am delighted that I have been proven wrong about Halo's capabilities; it did a really good job here  :yahoo:
