Kimi tends to keep it all penned in until after he's passed a particularly slow backmarker, and then say something like "What was he doing?" (a raised last syllable being the only sign of stress he displays for the entire race, as Kimi puzzles the endless mystery that is irrational humanity)

Kimi really is the best on the radio, at least since the duo of Smedly and Massa was broken up.

I remember a few seasons ago Lewis Hamilton was constantly trying to say something memorable on the radio.  He finally gave up I think.

Speaking of Lewis and Radio Messages, does anyone remember the race when he was irritated and constantly asking his engineer for settings advice, only to be told "Sorry Lewis, I can't give you that information or instruct on what setting you should be on" ... words to that effect anyway.

I think he found his way 500 sub menus deep on his wheel!!!  :D

All the best,
Cal :)

Two races ago, Lewis was complaining about something for the 4th time (just counting number of occasions played on TV) when his engineer said "I'm sorry, all I can hear are wind noises."

And I thought, "That's because he's being a windbag..."

In fairness Cal I'm pretty sure that message comes from a time when the FIA banned all driver aid instructions over radio during races. Lewis will not have been alone in getting the bums rush from his engineer.

You are spot on ... is was during the limited technical info sharing period.  However, I think there was another event during one of the races early this season, where he was in a similar position? ... maybe not asking for technical info or being denied feedback from his engineer, but it was along the same lines, just 'less critical' circumstances from what I recall.

All the best,
Cal :)
