Got to see an M8D run in anger at Riverside. Very loud, very fast, part of a Golden Age of Racing for me.

One thing: I don't recall ever hearing the Batmobile name applied to the M8D. It was used as the name for the BMW 3.0CSL.

Great pictures, old enough to remember a lot of them. Didn't the Mclaren get banned from racing as the wings kept coming off?.
