What's still at stake in 2017:
Second place in the WDC:
Only 15 points between race winners Bottas and Vettel with 50 available. Vettel is ahead, but Bottas could easily over haul him
Fourth place in the WDC:
Ricciardo leads Kimi by a mere 14 points. Now that team strategy is out the window, I suspect Kimi might take things into his own hands a little more now.
Seventh in the WDC:
Perez is 9 points ahead of Ocon. This has been the tightest intrateam competition of the year, and now that Force India has locked up 4th overall, I foresee an intense battle to see who starts 2018 as #1 in pink.
There are other battles further down, but I still think drivers 10th or lower are going to aim for what they can get
Sixth in the WCC:
Only 6 points separate STR, Renault and Haas. I don't know exactly how the prize money gets split out, but earning 6 points isn't hard, so these teams have their work cut out. I look for this 3 way battle to be the story of Brazil.

Qualifying could have surprising results as they are calling for heavy thunderstorms on Saturday. They have apparently attacked the drainage problem again, but who knows how effective their fix is. Keep the beer cold since it could take a while to get through all the Q sessions.
Sunny skies forecast for race day. Hoping for a good mixed up grid. :good: :good:

Merc half a second in front of the rest after FP1-2 :fool:

I'm actually looking forward to todays race to watch Ricciardo and Hamilton fight from the midfield and the back. Should make it much more interesting. :good: :good:
