A subject which always comes up in my other F1 circles, is the presence of Celebs on the Grid/Paddock or buzzing around F1 venues someplace!
I would really like to hear (got the correct 'hear' for once) your opinion on the whole "Celeb Thing". I freely admit, I wanted to throw a brick at the TV on some of Martin's past Grid Walks, as people like Venus Williams, Naomi Campbell, Owen Wilson etc, either rudely blanked him or presented him with a stupid reply. Of course, we all must remember Ozzy's Rasputin bumbling reply!
There have been some decent, knowledgeable Celebs on the grid of course, but the "painful individuals" stand out the most.

Ferrari president Sergio Marchionne doesn't want to see Liberty Media dilute F1.
"We want a clear protection of the DNA of this sport," he said. "We do not want it to be diluted by commercial and entertainment factors. We are engaged in the technical side, while I believe Liberty does not understand a thing about this. So let us work.
"If one competitor cannot be distinguished from the next -- if Ferrari cannot stand out from Mercedes -- then we'll do something else."
He also says Ferrari isn't interested in Formula E. He says it's, "too funny to watch on TV with all those car changes. For Alfa Romeo, we thought about it but we're not ready to talk about it. I do not think the technology is suitable."
I agree with him on both points. Also, he says that if the Sauber-Alfa deal works, they might go with a Haas-Maserati. I'd really like that!

I'm simply curious as to how everyone enjoys the opening race of the season ...
1) At the Race in person (lucky so-an-so's)
2) Watching in the Pub on a TV the size of a Snooker table ... with likeminded fans & the beer flowing!!
3) In the comfort of your own home ... sitting in your favourite armchair with your pipe and slippers!
4) Watching on your giant PC monitor ... while you dabble around the web or deal with business commitments?
5) Grabbing as much viewing as you can, as you are at friends for dinner .. and are trying not to be rude!!

Thought I would start this new topic as a little bit of fun. Basically, there are two photos below. The top photo is the original capture and the bottom photo has 10 Alterations (differences if you like).
Can your Eagle Eyes pick out the differences between the two (some are 'easy spots' ... where others are more difficult to locate).
I will reveal the answers in a few days time!!

Wtf........somethings either legal or it's not. It's a grey area if you start saying somethings "not in the spirit of the technical regulations".
This sounds like Renault have been innovative (isn't that one of the attractions of this sport) but the FIA will rule against it if it starts to allow them to gain ground on others!
