I wonder who will jump in to take
their place?

I was always surprised they stuck around so long after Alonso.  Not many sponsors pay enough money to pay a world champion to sit out for two years like they did with Kimi.

I presume they're headed to McLaren (assuming they stick around F1, which isn't a given)

As for a replacement, I doubt Ferrari will have much trouble there.  I'd like to see them bring some new sponsorship to F1, I'm still surprised how under represented tech companies are in the sport.

If RB can sponsor a team I don't see any reason Coke or Pepsi
couldn't. McDonald's has stores the worldwide but haven't Ronald
McDonald plastered on a car would be a sad sight

I'd pay good money to see the Ferrari pit crew dressed up like Ronald. Bet their big shoes get caught under the tires.

Have you ever seen The Founder?  It's a recent movie about Ray Croc, the man who made McDonald's into the corporate empire it is today.  He had a lot in common with Bernie, and I wouldn't be surprised if Croc's acolytes would never be able to come to an accord with Bernie over sponsorship.

Well I would, since Bernie is now F1 history. The head honcho now for marketing is Sean Bratches. Not sure he either can or will help teams engage with new sponsors.

Liberty is in a position to repair any bridges that Bernie burned.  I just know that global brands like McDonald's and Coke have the ability to push around any organisation they sponsor, so I can see why Bernie wouldn't deal with them (and vice versa)

Santander are going to Champions League football, one of the few things even more expensive than F1...
