Fancy a drink? Make it so!
« on: June 30, 2008, 09:23:42 PM »
As well as its supreme practicality, the Starship Enterprise Bottle Opener serves as a constant tribute to the most iconic pretend spacecraft in televisual history. Better still it’s embossed with the legendary NCC-1701 registration, so you can be sure you’re opening your bottle of wallop with a Shatner-era vessel. And that’s just as well because judging by his, erm, interesting cover of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, Captain Kirk is the only member of Starfleet who likes a drink.

Boldly going where no bottle opener has gone before. Make it so!

Scotty was famous for it!

By the way, this is the Enterprise from the first 3 films. The warp nacelles are flat sided. In the TV series, the nacelles were tubular in cross section.

Warp engines should be banned.  They are very clever technical but they do a lot of damage to the fabric of space.  Besides how can you stop a starship that is warp driven.  I know how it makes it go (giant surfboard) but I have never heard how it stops.

Disc brakes. You've never heard of "warping" a rotor?

What's the carbon footprint of the Enterprise? It's probably doing more harm than good. ::)

Warp engines don't produce carbon dioxide.  They react matter with anti-matter.  Of course the carbon foot print from building it is a whole different matter. or anti-matter.
