I've heard Ali is sleeping better after learning
Stu is a no show this year {dare - original entry}

:D My position of wooden-spoon holder is likely to see little challenge... ...then again, I consider it a victory simply organising it and getting twice as many karters to come this year as last!

I'm starting to think I should be a bit less confident and more humble - I might have to buy too many rounds if I lose. {Scott - 6 comments ago}

Probably just as well the karting isn't in its original slot then - this way, if you lose, there won't be time to buy everyone's rounds before the pubs shut. Unless you get put in one with 24-hour opening...

There is a consolation - nobody will be buying me a drink because I'm turning up for the karting and then going home. Mum would not be pleased if Dad and I got home much past midnight...

Did I mention that the little guys had an advantage?  Oh yeah, and Slugger had a super slippery helmet he brought from home (I saw a spray can of something sticking out of his bag. I think it was de-fog, allowing him an aerodynamical advantage over the rest of us who had to drive with them wide open)...oh and did I mention the jet lag I was suffering from...and my bum shoulder...and I had to drive without my glasses because they wouldn't fit with my helmet on...and...

 >:D

Seriously, great race, we'll have to do it again.  I wish I could do the summer race.

...so I get home and find my wife has gon away to one of themost amazing ski resorts in the world!!  Check it out:  http://www.la-grave.com/index.php?rx=0.8

The official leaderboard going into the feature heat.  Notice that I actually wasn't 11th, but tied for 5th...and I had 6th fastest lap time - faster than all the others on the GPWiz team!

In the interests of anonymity, I have made some minor adjustments to the photo.

This time there were a few others from other forums, including two father and son teams (one guy's Dad was a particularly dirty driver), and some walk in's, obviously locals that had raced somewhat regularly at that track.  I would pay a bit more to have the track to ourselves, or at least limit it strictly to us and Sidepodcast and some bloggers or something.  Not sure how the others feel, but I think it was better that way.

Either way, thanks so much to Ali for putting on another great race, and the Teamworks guys for running it so smoothly.

Nice one Scotty,

Mrs Slugger was in charge of a majority of the photos so hopefully we will have some coming real soon.

Here are a bunch to start you off with.  I'm sure Slugger's are better.  I had the cheapo camera, while he had a slick SLR.

Hold on, I'm having issues getting them down below 250k.  According to my computer they are under, but for some reason Wiz's filter is showing some of them as over.   >:D
