Another F1 Chair
« on: February 11, 2010, 02:40:17 PM »
Unlike some this F1 chair is no longer a concept, as the one featured here is the actual prototype that took three long years in development (check out the pic with the designer seated on it) and will reportedly go into production sometime soon.

The chair is made of industry-grade fiberglass and is cast from a silicone mold. The upholstery is handmade and made from the similar foam and fabric used in actual racing seats and is supplied by a well known seat exporter.

It is in automotive finish — racing red then buffed to perfection. The F1 chair comes with a matching footrest to let you lounge in style with utmost comfort. And killer looks is not all it has, this plush lounger-cum-chair can further be customized to embed multimedia features including up to three to five speakers, (two at the base, two just behind the head and one at the top) in the air vents and the footrest can be changes to mount a LCD panel, and space for a DVD player or a gaming console beneath it for your entertainment needs.

They need that monitor that Ferrari uses that blends right into the bodywork during quali.

Put some wheels on it and Virgin can get themselves out of trouble after all! ;)
