Lovely looking car, really is pretty (apart from the advertising logos).  Not sure it looks 'fast' though as it lacks so many features of the cars considered fast.

More great photos of the new Lotus.

If this car goes as well as it looks they will right up there. The only spoiled photo is the one with Mike G in. Can't warm to that guy at all.

You mean it's not got a bloody great shark fin. :DD

That's the one John  :D  But isn't it nicer for it?  :good:  I hate those things with a passion.

As for Gascoyne, I really do like him as he is a pure racer, really wish Williams could have snapped him up.

Looks a bit boxy.  Glad it doesn't have the shark fin.  I like the green and the yellow really sets off the green.

Nice car, but is it quick?   :DntKnw: :DntKnw: :DntKnw:

What does everyone have against the shark fin?  I like it.

Plus, it's a nice sponsor billboard... sponsors are going to pay more if they get better value.

From a side view it turns a nice F1 car into a truck, and personally I'd rather see the sponsors get more creative with their space than bolt on a billboard.

My jury is still out on the new looks of the fin on this years cars.

I am thrilled with the return of the Lotus name and colours to F1.

It brings back memories of the halcyon days in the 50's & 60's when the sport was still in it's infancy and visionaries like Chapmen and Tyrrell designed and built cars in the back shed.

Long before it became about money and selling cars for the manufacturers.

Those guys did it because they were racers and the thrill of compitition.

I like the fins. When I was very young, I fell in love with the D-Type Jaguar, with it's huge shark fin. That might still have an effect on me.

The yellow on the wheels is a nice classic Lotus touch, too. Too bad they're not "Wobbly Webs."
