Who are the Dark horses for this year ?
« on: February 14, 2010, 05:18:18 PM »
We all know that Mclaren, Ferrari, Mercedes and Red bull are the teams to beat. They have done well, testing confirms it so far inspite of Ross Brawn's modesty. So will these teams dominate everything or could there be a some dark horses lurking behind to usurp the position of frontrunners.
In my opinion Sauber, Force India and Toro Rosso seem as likely dark horses. What do you all think ?

I have to go with the heart and say... Williams  :D

Aside from them, I think Force India could throw in a few surprises again.

Also Sauber. Williams might spring a surprise too, but the evidence so far is inconclusive. Hopefully the signs will be more unambiguously positive in later tests.

I hope the combination of Sauber and Kobi will throw a few wrenches in the works for the big teams.  We'll see.  I still will be betting on Vettel though.

I think the Williams squad might have a surprise or two up their sleeves. Sauber is a bit harder to figure out at this point, but I think they have potential.

Good to see a man who is in no way biased about Williams Cosworth ;) backing my boys this year  :good:

My choice for dark horses who have to be Sauber. Well they have got Ferrari power for this year and a impressive driver in Kobayashi.

Wouldn't mind seeing Williams doing well too.

My thoughts exactly.

Kobi's my boy... but it's going to be Vettel's year

I think Renault may suprise a bit this season, Kubica is hungry and they reputedly have the most fuel efficient engine so a bit less weight. The bright yellow paint must be worth a couple of tenths on it's own. ;)

I'm not sure if Sauber can keep up but admit it has shown a good turn of speed. The other one to watch as far as I can see is Williams, they will surely be the best of the Cosworth teams, provided they can lick the reliability issues that have been showing up in testing.

More interesting I think is who out of the new boys will perform?
I hope Lotus can get the job done, not that I am bias, what I dont want to see is a few cars getting lapped after ten or fifteen laps in.

I think Williams might go ok this year and Hulkenberg might turn a few heads.
I can't think of anything to write here.

I kind of missed Williams. But I think they are too serious a team to try for a time when they testing, so they may and hopefully spring a few surprises this season.
