I suppose Ferrari are always the dark horses because they have a black prancing horse on their emblem ;)

Seriously, I think they are going to have a fairly large improvement unless something ridiculous happens (which it almost certainly won't, given that Massa and Alonso have shown little sign of tension and the team burned through its bad luck last year).

IMO Ferrari is one of the favourites this year.

IMO Ferrari is one of the favourites this year.

This could be the year where there are the most 'good' teams... also the most 'bad' teams.

Which teams will be in the middle?  STR?  Force India?  Renault?

Seems about right to me.

For completeness, I'd slot in Stefan as C+.  I want to believe that Toyota's chasis has a Honda/Brawn like surprise in it.

Only ones I would swap round would be Williams to B+ and Renault to C. The rest is pretty much spot on IMO.

I reckon B is right for Williams, possibly actually going into C right now due to an apparent problem with the car failing quite a bit in testing.  Happened again today with the Hulk.  I'd also put Virgin with Lotus right now as both teams are around the same but I expect Lotus to pick up during the season.

That was a good one dare. I wonder about Renault though in the B category and think this year also they will struggle. C is probably accurate IMO for Renault.

With the talk of the Renault engine being so efficient, it might give them an edge that a disorganised team might not otherwise have.

Good call about the Renault engine Jeri, I think it could work for them, at least push them to the top of the midfield package.

I see that Williams had another stoppage out on track today, I really think I will move them into Dare's C group!

Best to get your gremlins out of the car in testing, remember "if it doesn't kill you it just makes you stronger" Williamsfan.

I see Virgin being more midfield than Dare's chart suggests, John Booth at Manor has a very strong track record in other open wheel formula so I'm certain they will pull it all together after a few races. I feel Virgin, Torro Rosso, Lotus and possibly Sauber will all be having a good scrap by mid season.

Very true John!  I think I am trying to not be too optimistic this year though.  Every year recently I feel that we have a good chance of winning a race and come up way short.  So perhaps if I think the car is unreliable and slow, good things might happen!

I agree about Virgin, I reckon once they've got their car more reliable, they'll be okay.
