Schumi: You haven't yet seen my qualy pace
« on: February 27, 2010, 02:17:32 PM »

Looks like the Michael's love of gamesmanship is still alive and well in this article on planetf1.com, just can't wait for him to prove his pace in Bharain. Bring it on! :yahoo: :yahoo:

Although one can only guess at what the drivers are running when they put in those blistering flying laps, Michael Schumacher has revealed he's yet to do a qualifying style run. The seven-time World Champ, who is returning to F1 with Mercedes GP, have already completed six full days of testing, during which was on average just over a second off the pace.

And although lap times mean very little as the ban on refuelling means fuel loads could be anything from 160kgs to fumes, one can only assume, given their extremely short stints, that the likes of Thursday's pace-setter Mark Webber and Friday's P1 holder Nico Hulkenberg were on qualifying style runs when they posted their times.

Schumacher, though, has yet to try his hand at seeing how quick his Mercedes GP W01 will be over one or two flying laps. "I don't think I have done a qualifying run yet. We are not finished yet, so let's find out," he said.

Politics, don't you love it?

It's all about what you say to whom.

Schumi spent enough time around the press to know how to play them and the old adadge of "always leave them wanting more".
