I think what Hamilton was saying JohnS was that Mclaren need to improve the cars' pace for qualifying both for him AND Button.
I think you may be right about what Lewis is trying to say, - however I'm damn sure I'm right about what I am saying.
It's interesting that Hamilton was supposed to learn how to be a second fiddle at the feet of double world champion Alonso. While I'm glad that McLaren never declared a 'favourite' in 2007, in retrospect, if they'd lined up behind Alonso, it would have helped develope Hamilton into the team player they need now.
With that said, if there's some animosity between Button and Hamilton, and it shows on the track, it is a good show. Now we just need to convince Alonso that Massa put itching powder in his race suit and really watch the sparks fly...
