Are there any Tilke success stories?  I don't know any - whether it's a track or a corner, neither the fans nor the drivers seem to like them.

well Scott try this for size:

"Motorland Aragon – his finest work?

Motorland Aragon

IRONICALLY, one of Tilke’s most promising tracks may never be used for an F1 race. Motorland Aragon in Spain includes the closest thing you can get to Laguna Seca’s fabled Corkscrew on an F1-ready track.

But with Spain already holding two Grands Prix at Catalunya and Valencia, its chances of getting on the calendar look slim. This is a great pity, as it looks like one of Tilke’s best efforts, and includes a dramatic pit building designed by Sir Norman Foster, the man behind the McLaren Technology Centre and many other exceptional pieces of architecture.

Although I’m not sure Tilke deserves all the criticism he gets, equally I’d like to see more variety in F1 track design. For example, given enough run-off space, why couldn’t F1 have high-speed circuits like the Monzas, Silverstones and Osterreichrings of old?"

Sennaman  :good:, just watched the highlights of Aussie GP, cracking race, lets have more of them.

yes Ian, and this season may be something very special

......I am so excited by the prospects and possibilities; more so than many recent  years, and I think having four WDCs in very interesting pairings [especially at FERRARI and McLAREN], including michael SCHUMACHER, has a lot to do with it.

bring it on!

I still think that without the rain, it would have been a boring race as well.
Bring back refueling, ban the pressure fed fuel rigs and equip each track with overhead rain heads to add the wet element when required.

Okay, I was joking about the rain heads.....sort of.

Alonso doesn't seem share to our enthusiasm for proper racing with plenty of overtaking, I wonder how many other drivers on the grid harbour his purist view?

Sometimes it would be great if he engaged his brain before opening his mouth.  Motor racing is about racing, ie overtaking.  Most drivers seem to realise that F1 needs and has to excite the fans in the way the races unfold, thankfully!

Lol, sweet FA likes being a 'maverick' and winding you guys up.  :tease: :P

as a consecutive two time WDC he knows all about overtaking and driving to stop being overtaken and he has a real shot at a third title this year

in fact until ferd came along nobody could resist michael SCHUMACHER

fernando showed he was not bothered by him at all

who will ever forget when he won at San Marino with MS doing all he could to overtake him for lap after lap, to no avail

so please cut this young master driver some slack and realise he gets a buzz from being controversial :D :yahoo: :yahoo: 8)

......and get ready to cheer if he pulls off more wins and another WDC

Now, is this the same Ferd that was beached when he outdrove himself in Q1? I seem to recall some Finnish chap who beat Schumi before MS was in his dotage, too. I believe his name was Mika.

two things MS and FA had going for them in their
championship runs were team mates who weren't
allowed to beat them
