Hindsight is such a wonderful thing isn't it....but nevertheless, it's these mistakes that can make the difference of winning the WDC/Contructors Championship or not >:(

I think with JB it is a little different, his time had gotten him through to Q2 but spinning off is not something anyone can plan for, so yeah, that is hindsight.  I do wonder why Hamilton and the Ferrari pair didn't leave early to get a 'banker' lap though, but again, it is easy to criticise in hindsight.  Their decisions could have been brilliant if the weather had held off.  All it means though is tomorrow we should have a great race!

The trouble is the Macca/Ferrari decision would not even be remarked on if the weather held off and they had got through to Q2 easily. The top teams only get pilloried for things going wrong, good performance is taken for granted. I agree it should make a good race.

Very true John, good decisions are not always acknowledged (although thankfully JB's was last week) but bad ones are picked up very quickly.

as they should be, but at least, after shooting himself in both feet, lewis has a chance for redemption and glory by climbing through the field in racing tomorrow.

however, a mistake [like a rose] is a mistake, is a mistake and like the year in which he and McLAREN let KR back into the WDC by some absolutely stupid tactical decisions, this qualifying debacle could cost him another WDC.

i hope it doesn't.

Exactly the point I made above Sennaman....mistakes that could haunt them later in the season!

Considering Lewis made a very similar mistake last year in the dry, a repeat is inexcusable. You always try to get in a good one early, then improve later if necessary. Racing 101.
