Sure brings back a lot of memories Dare, thanks for the vids.  :good: He certainly was a gentleman racer of the old school and what he lacked in skill he made up for by cheek, and a never say die attitude.

I saw James race in the 1974 British GP at Brands Hatch in the Hesketh, the crowd was willing the team which only had the one car on the grid to do well, unfortunately mechanical trouble ended their race on the 2nd or 3rd lap. For once he failed to live up to his 'Hunt the Shunt' nickname, I remember we had a bet amongst our group as to which lap he go off, not one of us believed he could last the race although we all secretly hoped he would finish.

I also remember my drivers of the day at Brands were Jody who won in Jackie's old Tyrell seat and the brilliant Tom Pryce, probably the star of the show in the Shadow, the highest placed British (Welsh actually) finisher in 8th.

Must bring back many pleasant memories John.I
wish I'd have been as lucky.

I believe Pryce would have become one of my favorite
drivers,he had the apperance of what a race driver
should look like.Maybe that's why I never cared
much for Jody S.
