Yup well done David.  :good: It was a bit obscure I agree, I thought some of our Aussie members might put their tinnies down and set us straight.  :D

The AGP was run to F1 rules once in 52, then went to Formula Libre in 53, Formula Tasman in the 60's and Formula 5000 in the 70's. There was then one year, 1980, again as an F1 spec race, in honour of Alan Jones WDC, before becoming Formula Pacific until 1985 when the first official championship F1 race took place, as LoNeR4eVa correctly identified.

Over to you David.

Which famous F1 figure exclaimed, "the horses pull the car rather than push it" when initially dismissing the mid engine revolution in F1?

Kimi started driving for Peter Sauber in the Australian GP in 2001. He finished the season in 10th place in the WDC. He had already signed to move to McLaren in 2002.

The winningest engine in the history of F1 was the Ford Cosworth DFV V8.

What does DFV stand for?
