Sir Frank Williams will step down as Chairman of the F1 team that bears his name. Adam Parr will assume those duties. Sir Frank will remain as Team Principal and controlling shareholder.

Parr was the CEO of the team. Alex Burns, the current COO, will move up to CEO.

Honestly, I like it.  Most F1 teams don't survive their creators.  Frank is planning for the future, ensuring he chooses the hands it ends up in.  Hopefully the name will continue in F1 for decades, and do justice to past success.

I like that they are appointing from within, so Adam now knows the whole thing about the team, but still.  It is a sign of the times changing.  Just hope Sir Franks stays on as principle for a long time to come.
