An interesting comment, and another driver saying different drivers look for different handling characteristics in a car.

That's a good point you make Lonny, we saw from Fischi's switch to Ferrari last year,  it's hard for a driver who is running really well in a car that he has helped develop to jump into car with differeng characteristics and style and be on the pace. Maybe this is why a lot of teams seem to make more progress when their driver line up stays constant for a few years, both McLaren and Ferrari seem to prefer this approach.

Leads me to think that perhaps Ross would have tried harder to retain Jenson if Mercedes hadn't bought the team, and the team would not be languishing nearly a hundred points adrift in a poor fourth in the constructors title.  :P ;)
