Aston Martin Super Sport Limited Edition
« on: August 19, 2010, 01:00:38 PM »
This is the Aston Martin Super Sport Limited Edition supercar, which will sell for a whopping €7,500,000 (approx. US $9,668,750).

Only eight examples of the supercar will be developed and produced in cooperation with Star Electric Cars France. The sports car will get its power from a twin-turbocharged 5.4-liter V8 engine delivering up to 950bhp.  :yahoo:

The engine has been mated to a, (deep breath), six-speed manual transaxle, which is synced with an integral, torque-sensing, helical limited-slip differential. Try and say that fast!

An F1 paddle shift gearbox is available as an option. The Aston Martin Super Sport Limited Edition will come with powder coated exhaust system, Brembo or AP carbon ceramic brakes and the in-trend carbon fiber bodywork.

I can see Ian filling in the order form now.  :D

You lost me at transaxle Wizzo,  are they trying to say you don't get auto shift as standard at the price of 7.5 mil?  ;) :D :DD :DD

I have to agree with you there Williamsfan, I love the flowing asthetic lines of the DB9's

Yeah, they're not as fussy as this new model.  I generally like Aston's but this just doesn't do it for me.

Can't believe you guys don't like the look of that car. Okay the mirrors are a little high compared with rest of the car, but the rest is gorgeous!!

I like it. I can't recall a previous A-M mid-engined road car.

I've read other reports that claim it isn't really an Aston at all, but a creation of Star Electric that was badged, with permission, Aston Martin.

Good find Cos.  :good: Certainly puts a different angle on the project. Now I can see it from different angles it does have a certain 'Je ne sais quois', but the rear end does seem more portly even than the middle age men who will buy it.  Hey it can't be all bad though - it comes in red.  :swoon:  :D
