FIA becoming even LESS of a democracy?

Wow - after Max, I didn't think that was possible.  Apparently Jean is trying to turn it into a little kingdom.

That's a lot to digest Scott and does appear to show a big level of disatisfaction with the Todt regime, however it does seem to me that the whole article is written from quotes, briefings, information and leaks provided by the anti Todt faction with what appears to be the hand of Mad Max orchestrating it. The question is how much store to set by these revelations, especially since this scaremongering tries to suggest that the general assembly is simply a bunch of turkeys who will vote for Christmas because the portly French Santa says they must.

Who knows whether some of Jean's proposals to allow regions more freedom to set rules for localised racing series may lead to more and better racing. Perhaps it is time for the FIA centrally to concentrate only on world series matters, so we get regulation more in line with soccer, where you have a world body, with continental/regional bodies and then national ones.

The worst thing about all this, as far as I can see, is the very real possibilty of the re-emergance of Mad Max at the helm of the FIA. :stop: :nono: :nono:

There is talk around that the teams or at least some of them might be behind this, because they do not want to change the rules so radically for 2014.
