Come to think of it we've never had St George's day on it either.  >:D

Good call Ian, you think these calendars would have it switched on by default. Consider it done!  :good:

Here in the States, we have Veterans' Day on November 11th. It was originally Armistice Day, in honor of the end of hostilities in World War I on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. It was later changed to honor all veterans.

Congress tried to move it to a Monday a few years ago, but all of the major Veterans organizations objected.

Most cities, towns and villages here will have parades and memorial services. I will be taking the day off work to attend ours here in Lancaster.

I noticed that Veterans' Day was on the calendar. Maybe the calender app is American, which would also explain the absence of St. George's Day.

We have Rememberance Day here on the 11th too.  It encompasses all soldiers, past and present.  I have resolved to wear my service medal on my Konica Minolta uniform for the day and no matter what I am doing or where I am I will stop for my minutes silence.

I'll never forget the sacrifice of my brothers and sisters in arms, from Australia or our allied nations.

Lest we forget.

Hey guys, feel free to add any dates you think are important direct to the calendar yourselves. It's obviously hard to know important dates from around the world and I'm sure we would all find each others dates of interest.

Just go to 'Calendar' then goto 'Post Event' and fill in the details.
