No chat room support for iPad - SOLVED!!!!!!
« on: October 28, 2010, 01:07:53 AM »
Mmmmm, uber-geeky!

No Flash support for iPad (maybe when hell freezes over) means you can't use it for the chat room during races...until now! I found a killer App yesterday for the iPad called "Air Display" that turns you iPad into a second monitor for the PC (or MAC Scott!) that works over your wifi network! It is amazingly fast. Once installed, you drag ANY window from your PC or MAC desktop onto the iPad and viola!...Flash support..in a crazy sort of way!  Look closely and you'll see it is a Firefox browser running the Flash chat room displaying on the iPad. Using a remote session to the PC didn't work as you don't get keyboard support. Using this setup I get to use my PC keyboard and the iPad as the display. Now I don't have to borrow the kids laptop anymore! YAY!!!

Here's a Youtube vid so you can see it in action. I've also attached a photo I took of my setup.

Kimi's back! Future double WDC.
