Free Wifi in Mexico for iPad's.....
« on: November 14, 2010, 08:04:04 PM »
Tooooo funny! I went to the front desk at the resort and asked about wifi and she pointed me to the bar/open area outside and then she said "$10 an hour!!!!"

I almost had another heart attack and politely (really!) declined but I was kinda tired from walking so I sat down at the bar/open area and uploaded some photos from the camera to the iPad and lo-and-behold the iPad found the resorts LAN and logged on. Then a friend came by (we're here for a wedding) and she owns an iPod and and I helped her with a problem and was able to log onto the LAN with the iPod as well. Then some OTHER friends with PC laptops tried to logon and sure enough a web page pops up and tells them they need to go to the front desk and pay the $10/hour access fee.

HAHAHAHAHA....apparently the resort doesn't know how to filter out Apple computers from their rip-off wifi scam.
