Advent Competition 2010
« on: November 30, 2010, 10:56:25 AM »
Yes its that time of year when we wish peace and goodwill to all men (and woman).
The GPWizard way of joining all our international friends together in the festivities is by subjecting you to the nail biting, hair pulling, wall punching game, commonly known as the GPWizard Advent Competition (2010).

The Competition (Please read carefully)
Every day for the first 24 days in December a Question or Letter will be placed on the GPWizard Advent Calendar (navigation at the top of the page). Answers to the questions also represent a letter. i.e Answer = Jenson Button then the letter for the day will be either 'J' or 'B'. This will be clearly indicated on the day.

The aim is to collect 24 individual letters and rearrange them into a Christmas sentence.

Once you have the complete sentence you will need to PM with your answer. It is in your interest not to post your answer on the site as members who have not been following the competition will all know your answer.

I will only accept answers received on 24th December.

If more than one correct entry is received then the winner will be chosen at random. It would not be fair to accept the first answer due to worldwide members time zones.

If you miss a question or letter, then you can still try and complete the sentence, it will just be a little harder for you. There may be a bonus letter day if you're lucky.

Any questions or comments? Please post them below for all to see.

The Prize - Mark Webber 2010 Racing Gloves

These gloves are very cool and are exact replicas as used by Mark Webber in the 2010 F1 season. All shapes colours and embroidery have been replicated perfectly.

The Rules
One Question or letter will be placed on the advent calendar per day.
Answers to each Question will represent a letter i.e if the answer is Jenson Button then the letter for the day will be either 'J' or 'B' as indicated on the day.
The completed Christmas sentence must be PM to me on 24th December - all submissions before or after this date will be dismissed.
If more than one correct entry is received then the winner will be chosen at random.

Good Luck!

Tis the season!

For all of the long-time members: Hey, at least we don't have to hunt for the letters again!  :nono:

The advent returns and the honeymoon is over for
us poor souls.

With those Webber gloves Rom might pop a stitch

When I saw it was a Webber prize, I almost fell off my chair, then had to eat half a box of painkillers from jumping up and down in excitement..... After they kicked in though... I realised I'm up against some truly top class people....

Wiz you just keep setting the bar higher and higher in generosity and fun!!

Your personal Aussie Fan Rom

P.S. This isn't sucking up...... ok... it is a little.... :-P

If Rom was fit he'd now be swimming from Aussie to Essex to nick those gloves.  :DD
