Not a problem I have to worry about Lonny, but one I would like to have.

Beautiful car, sounds fantastic too if you have seen any videos.

I was buying a new car and the company had a showroom next door that sold Astons and while speaking to the salesman a DB9 went round to the workshop and we both stopped and watched it. I said that they were my favorite cars and he said just go in and ask for a test drive and if they have time they will, I said that I did not have the courage  to do that.
Anyway I signed up to buy the car and he said that when I was well enough (I was having chemo for Lymphoma at the time) we would take one out. I had to take the car back for a minor electrical fault and bumped into the salesman who said "are you up for the test drive" and we arranged for me to return on the following Tuesday.
As I entered the showroom he said grab a seat while I get the beast, he came back and we walked across to the other showroom and he said the DB9 was out on a demo so that was not available.
I thought never mind they have a few DB7's on the forecourt and after all its still an Aston.
We walked round the corner and he said we have that a brand new Vanquish S, £178,000, 6 litre V12, 550bhp and 50 miles on the clock, at that time it was the fastest production car Astom had built.
He drove down the road and we stopped so he could explain the hand brake which is electronic and the flappy paddles which if you don't feather the throttle on changing it would lurch badly.
So I drove from there for about an hour, as we went up a slip road onto a motorway he said don't be afraid to give it some stick, how do you give a 6 litre 12 cylinder stick?
Any way at 80mph a touch on the power and it was 120 with no problem on one clear stretch I hit 150mph and it was so stable and sooooooooo loud.
Briefly thats it I could go on for ages about it. A great memory. :good:

Oh! I forgot!!
In third I took it to 7500rpm and flicked it into 4th where I hit 150 there was no lurching then!!

Amazing...I'd be WAY too nervous as an AM salesman to let you do that   :( :(

Porche 911Turbo was my quasi-supercar drive once (actually twice), but I didn't get it up to anywhere near 150.

Nice one Andy and Scott.

A friend of mine who works for Renault borrowed a Nissan GTR for a weekend at the beginning of this year and came round to let me have a go. I took it up to about 140mph on my private test track before I backed off.
