Daleks were (and still are) the worst of the worst bad guys on Dr. Who.

Scalectix never really made it over here in the States. We had Aurora Thunderjet 500 Model Motoring (HO scale) and Strombecker (1/32 scale)

That's cos Meccano was first available from about 1907, I think the rest of the stuff in the list first appeared in the 60's. 

If you have an original meccano set Ian you must be a lot older than you've been letting on.   :D  :tease:

It doesn't rate with today's kids - I bought my son a set a couple of years back...had his interest for not more than a couple of days.

I was a fanatic for at least a couple of years.

One of my favorites when I was young was my Chemistry Set. They aren't available any more. I guess someone thinks it's a bad idea to give a box of chemicals and a Bunson burner is a bad idea.  :crazy:
