R.I.P. Kodachrome
« on: December 27, 2010, 02:33:44 PM »
It's almost like the death of an old friend.

This Friday, Dwayne's Photo in Parsons, Kan. will stop processing Kodachrome. They are the last place on the planet that processes the film. Kodak is stopping production of the chemicals needed to process the film.

Over the decades, it seems like I've spent enough money on Kodachome to buy my own F1 team. Like most photographers, I transitioned over to digital several years ago.

Guess that means my venerable OM-2 is about to be obsolete. :'(

Not to worry, Lonny. There's still Ektachrome & Kodacolor. It's just that Kodachrome was always the best of the best.

Paul Simon may have to change up the lyrics a bit now that they've taken his Kodachrome away!

Kimi's back! Future double WDC.
