One-off Ferrari Enzo prototype for sale
« on: January 03, 2011, 10:11:12 AM »
This one is a bit of an ugly duckling but what it misses out on looks it make up with exclusivity. This is the only working prototype of the Enzo Ferrari ever to have left the Ferrari factory. It has a V12 engine with 680 PS (500 kW / 670 bhp), 30 PS more than the production Enzo, and is very similar to Ferrari's 1991 Formula One engine. Wonder how much it would take to buy this?

I don't think it's as ugly as the F40 David.

If you have to ask, you can't afford it.

:o An F40 is ugly??

There is a haulage guy up the road from where I live who has an F40, having seen this car on the road I can confirm that ugly is not what comes to mind.

Personally, I'd sooner have an Aston, much more class.  :tease:  :P

Well the Enzo is not quite as pig ugly as the Maserati MC12, the killer whale of a car that was spawned from mostly the same engine and components.  Like a killer whale, when it gets a sniff of baby seals, it can't half travel at a rate of knots, especially when it senses a Ferrari scalp is there for the taking.  :D

I'm with Ian, for toodling down to the 7-11, I'll take an Aston. Ferrari's most beautiful cars were the 330 P3/P4 and the 250GTO, IMHO.

I agree with your two choices of Ferraris, Lonny. I think I'd also throw in the 250 TR.

The MC12 is a bit of a monster alright John, the ugly sister if you will.

Big Aston fan myself Ian, in fact the DBS has a place in my dream garage.

Pontoon fenders or the later style?

Later 50's pontoon. My favorites were the ones with the clear plastic hood scoop over the 6 Webbers.  :good:
