Not sure what this means. I've taken the test several times and gotten results from 1.9 to 4.5. Speeds will vary depending on how many people you're sharing your band width with, and whether your provider has limited your connection in some way.

I can beat that Ian. My office just outside the town of Maghera in Co. Londonderry, which is in the UK, and we get less than 1MB at the best of times. Good news is we are getting fiber optic within months, 20MB will change life round the office.

It don't affect me David as I just browse, but they said on the radio that it would take about 48 hours to upload/download (?) a film.

Only to find out you don't rate it.  :D :DD :DD :DD

My connection is consitently only 2.4mb or lower  :( although BT claim up to 10mb in all their literature.  :DntKnw:

I get 3.4MBs, which is the theoretical maximum the current non-fibre-optic technologies can manage given the distance I am away from the nearest exchange.

Hollywood can make a movie quicker than it takes to download one from my office connection.  :DD
