Sorry for the crap formatting...someone has to show me how to drop a table in here.

These are the best times over three days and total laps.  Unfortunately I couldn't find out if any of the fast times were set on stints less than 10 laps (because that would have shown they were just going for a time on new tires and fumes).  But, as many will argue, there were plenty of different programs going on, so the times are meaningless.

Still, I think the fact that Nick was 3rd overall will pretty much guarantee him a seat - it'll be interesting to see if he gets one, two or three days testing next week.  I bet at least two.

The Mclarens are pretty darn close together, so unlike the Williams  ;)

Koby is showing well, even though I understand he spent much of the weekend either in the gravel or the garage.

Vettel and Webber must be testing something that's not working very well, or they have had a couple hundred kilo's added to their ballast so they show slow.

Rosberg is on a program that isn't nearly as complimentary to his driving style as Schumacher, or, as predicted by some, the car that suits Schumacher does NOT suit Rosberg.

On to next week!

Looks like Nick should get the seat this year,I was really hoping
Senna would best him. What happened to Lotus?I thought they were bragging
on this years progress.

Like you Scott I don't think there is much to read into these times because of the shortage of true facts about tyre and fuel load choices. I prefer to think that Red Bull and McLaren are sandbagging by keeping their speed in check, both sets of teamates have posted very similar fastest times so it's reasonable to assume rev limiting by the team.

Hey Dare I think you will find that a Lotus being only 1.8secs off the fastest and ahead of a Mercedes, Renault, Williams and both FIF1 cars is a tremendous step from last years testing or quali times.

I think Maldonado's times (at least, I am praying) are not representative of his overall pace in a Formula One car and that he was on some set-up test as opposed to a pace test.  Still, I know we won't be the fastest come Bahrain but it is still nice to see a Williams leading the way, and it was performed without KERS being installed.  Still, the Renault does seem fast again and the Mercs and Ferraris look good.  You cannot tell about the Red Bulls or McLarens yet.
