The guy who shot Giffords had a clip for his automatic pistol that held 30+ shells. When a couple of people suggested that no one really needed a clip that held that many, the leaders of the legislature said they would not rush to judgement until they had heard all sides. If he had had a normal 10 shot mag, he would not have done nearly as much damage. They of course, say he was just one disturbed individual. How many shootings of this sort need to happen before we take some reasonable actions? And of course, it was suggested that if some of the crowd had been armed, they could have returned fire. Imagine if panicked people had stated shooting in a crowded tent.

The Virginia Tech shooter didn't have a high-capacity-ammunition magazine. Nether did the Ft. Hood shooter. Since they make a pistol almost impossible to hide, most criminals don't use them.

On the other hand, I own several. I have them for my Colt M1911 pistol and my AK-47 rifle.

To return to the original subject, it would appear PG that the President himself is now taking an interest in your cause.  Isn't it usually a bad sign, for the side he's decided to back, when a President starts messing in an individual State's matters?
