Red Bulls new Felxi wing

Seriously don't know how they can get away with this, either it is against the rules or it isn't. Even still, if they can how come everyone else hasn't figured out how to do it by now.

The FIA has a problem defining rules.  They explain the spirit of the rule, and then they explain how it is enforced.  The teams design the cars to the enforcement part of the rule, not the spirit side.

That's half the fun of the sport!

That is always the case.

Example: in the Netherlands, the maximum speed in town is 50km/h. So, theoratically you get fined at 51. But there are 3 km extra, because of a correction of 3% (3km at least). Also a speed counter should show you a higher speed as you actually do. So, I can do 55 without being fined...

Difference between the letter of the rule and the spirit of it....

Well if the FIA couldn't stop RBR's flexi wing last year, even after changing the test loadings considerably, what makes anyone think they will have any more success this season.

I'm wondering how long it is going to take for the others to fully understand what is going on with the Red Bull and copy it. Again they never got anywhere close to finding the answer last year, so will they crack the problem anytime soon?   :DntKnw:

Isn't this what Formula 1 is all about nowadays? Finding the gaps in the (too strick, if you ask me) rules and make it work in your benefit? Apparentely they compy to the rules as made by te FIA. And this is also what Newey is paid to do...

I don't say I approve, but can I disapprove? No, because it is part of the game.

And didn't Ferrari have had something like this last year? But less extreme?

We used to have a term for that concept in circle track racing. We' say that someone was or wasn't "cheating fair."
