If you haven't seen "Piano Movers" you've missed a treat. I often marvel at how the movies can take us back in time to see these great stars. Young people with all their 24/7 games, gossip, reality, don't know what they are missing, and often have a "so what" attitude I find extremely annoying.

Classic Dare, and Lonny is right, kids today have missed so much.

Where did all the black & white movies go?

I used to love Harold Lloyd, Charlie Chaplin, Abbott & Costello and the rest of them. Most kids have never heard of any of them - God I'm must be getting old.  :(

I think I read that black and white films are more
expensive to make that color now

Over here, Turner Classic Movies does a good job of showing the old classics. Last month, they did a salute to Hal Roach Studios. The did day-long salutes to Laurel & Hardy, Harold Lloyd, Our Gang (The Little Rascals) and others. On Sunday, they have Silent Sunday Night, and show at least one old silent. Lloyd, Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle and others. Claw_Grrrl & I have been fans for years.

Funny you should say that John. I grew up in a suburb of Phoenix in Arizona and got hooked on the old B/W movies watching the local independent channel, KPHO, Channel 5. The Million Dollar Movie!! Every afternoon after school.
